But experts warn there is still room for improvement, with good connectivity becoming increasingly important to the economy as more people work from home.
Analytics firm Actual Experience found that workers in the UK suffer the second least amount of wasted time from digital issues such as unreliable broadband or Wi-Fi.
The ranking places Britain above countries such as the United States and France, behind only Belgium. Bottom of the table are Spain and Australia.
However, many staff working from home still face substantial wasted time because of IT snags.
Poor national infrastructure means many employees experience problems with video-conferencing services such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom, according to Actual Experience co-founder Dave Page.
He said: “It’s great to see the UK leading the way amongst advanced economies, but to perform well in an increasingly digital world we need to doing even better.
“Giving home workers tax-free business broadband upgrades will be essential to keeping us ahead of the pack and beating Belgium”.
